In this article you'll learn how to:
- Find the unique patient invitation code
- Invite a patient to the patient portal
- Turn off the invitation to the patient portal
Upon transferring patients into your Remedly account from a legacy system, you will want to reach out to your patients instructing them on how to access the Remedly Patient Portal. Our patient portal allows you to stay in touch with your patients in a HIPAA-compliant manner, including the ability to send/receive messages, photos and documents.

Please note that every time you manually create a patient in Remedly, they will automatically receive an email invitation to the Patient Portal. This workflow is specifically for those practices who transferred patient demographic data into Remedly as part of onboarding and need to inform their patients once the practice has started using Remedly.
This article contains the steps your patients need to take as well as screenshots you can use in your email campaign.
Before We Begin
The first thing you need to know is that your practice has a unique patient invitation code. The 5-digit code is visible at the top of your Dashboard (homepage).
Your practice's code is the final part of the URL for your unique Patient Login webpage.
You can view and copy your practice's unique Patient Portal link by going to the Main Menu>Practice Account>Practice Profile.
It will be under the Practice Summary section of your Practice Profile. You can give it to your Website Administrator so they can add a Patient Portal button on your business website.
To find the patients you want to target with this email, navigate to Lists ( https://app.remedly.com/
Instructions To Share With Your Patients
Step 1: Instruct your patients to go to your unique patient portal login https://www.remedly.com/login?invite_code=XXXXX.
Step 2: Click Forgot Password.
IMPORTANT: Patients should NOT opt to create a new patient account. When your patients were transferred into Remedly, accounts were created for them. The goal is to allow patients to reset their password, which will allow their proper access and use of the patient portal.
Step 3: On the following page, patients will be asked to enter their email or phone number in order to reset their password. In this situation, patients should enter their email address, which should be the same email address provided to your office in the past.
IMPORTANT: Patients should NOT attempt to use their phone number.
Step 4: After completing the workflow, patients should check their email for instructions to reset their password. Once that is complete, they will be able to log in using the same original URL and enjoy full access to the Remedly Patient Portal.
Final Step
We recommend you add a link to your unique Patient Portal Login URL on your practice's website. You may also want to suggest to your patients that they bookmark the Patient Portal within their browser.
If your patients have any questions while using the portal, please ask them to contact you directly. If you or your staff experience any issues with the portal, please reach out to support@remedly.com.
Note: If you do not want your patients to receive the invitation email to the patient portal, you can turn this feature off in your Practice Profile Settings by unchecking the box.
