Before using the Remedly platform for your daily practice management, take this quick test on the features you’re most likely to use to ensure you have the skills needed to navigate Remedly with confidence.
The areas we’ll focus on include:
- Using the calendar
- Managing patients from lead to appointment creation
- Checking patients in and out of their appointments
- Handling financial transactions
- Managing patient information
You can complete this test all at once or over time, working through each section to learn about different functionality in the platform. There are embedded links to our Help Center for how-to content if you’re unclear what to do. When you’re done with each section, compare your results to the image provided to see if you’ve completed the section successfully. Overall the test should take about one hour.

Let’s get started!
1. Create a Lead for a new potential patient
For learning how, check out How to Understand the Full Flow: from Lead to Check Out
- From the Calendar, create a new Lead
- Referral Source: use patient name Remedly Test
- First Name: use your first name
- Last Name: use Test
**Note: for our training, this new Lead will be referred to as Patient Test**
4. Assign Lead to yourself
5. Assuming you’ve left a voicemail message for your Lead, create a Reminder to call them back tomorrow
Check your results:
2. Create an Appointment
- Search for availability at your main practice location
- Create an appointment for next Sunday:
- Set appointment time for 10:00 am
- Appointment Type: use Consultation
- Patient: use Patient Test
**Note: remember Patient Test is the new Lead you created**
4. Visit Reason: use Sample Consultation
- Create an alert for patient from the Individual Patient History Page which says “Patient runs late”
- Update the appointment to show as Confirmed based on call with Patient Test

3. Patient Check In
- Check Patient Test in for their appointment
- Complete consent form on behalf of Patient Test
**Note: Usually the patient would complete the consent form at the front desk on a mobile device if they haven’t already completed the form before their appointment using the Patient Portal**

4. Patient Check Out and Financials

- Assuming patient has completed visit with provider, check Patient Test out for their appointment
- Create Invoice from the appointment
- Apply Adjustment for New Patient of 50%
- Create Invoice and Record Payment
- Apply Standard Payment of Cash to pay for full invoice amount
**Note: DO NOT use the Start Terminal button - only use the Apply Payment button**

5. Create an Estimate for Patient Test

- Estimate Expiration = one week from today
- Location = main practice location
- Add Charges:
- Fee Category = Procedure
- Treatment = Sample Treatment
- Charge to = Patient
- Apply Adjustment as New Patient for 10% discount
- Add Product:
- Inventory Item = Sample Inventory
- Apply Adjustment as New Patient for $10
- Send Estimate to Patient Portal
- Create Estimate and Add to Schedule
- Appointment = same Sunday in the afternoon
- Type = Procedure
- Visit Reason = Sample Treatment
- Status = Confirmed

6. Take Payment from Patient Test
- Navigate to Individual Patient History page for Patient Test
- Record payment of $100 in cash towards future treatments
**Reminder: DO NOT use the Start Terminal button - only use the Apply Payment button**

7. Patient Check In/Out and Financials
- Check Patient Test in for their afternoon appointment
- Assuming patient has completed visit with provider, check Patient Test out for their appointment
- Create invoice from the appointment
- Apply two methods of payment: $400 by cash and $100 as credit
**Reminder: DO NOT use the Start Terminal button - only use the Apply Payment button**
- Print your invoice for the patient

8. Patient History
- Add Date of Birth
- Update patient profile photo
- Send Patient Test a message via patient portal
