Patient Payments Dashboard is a centralized view designed to help users quickly find, review, and reconcile patient payments using key details such as Payment ID, patient, payment date, status, and payment method. With flexible filtering, sorting, and pagination, it reduces the time spent searching through payment records and provides a consistent patient payment management experience aligned with the existing Insurance Payments workflow.

How to Access 'Patient Payments' Dashboard in RCM
You can access the new Patient Payments Dashboard directly from the RCM main page, alongside your other RCM dashboards. Simply navigate to the dashboard panel and select Patient Payments.
Dashboard's Structure and Functionality:
Patient Payments Grid
The dashboard includes a payment grid with the following information:
- Payment ID
- Payment Date
- Patient
- Payment Method
- Status
- Payment Amount
- Applied Amount
- Refunded Amount
- Unapplied Amount
Note: Payment IDs are clickable and open the corresponding Patient Payment details page.
Quick Search
You can quickly locate patient payments using Quick Search, which supports searching by both Payment ID and Check Number.
Advanced Filtering
The new-format filter panel allows you to filter payments by:
- Payment Date
- Patient
- Payment Methods
- Statuses
The Patient filter supports search and single selection, while Status and Payment Method support multiple selections.
Moreover, the Filter Panel is enhanced with Quick Filters, designed to improve filtering experience and speed up payment search. To quickly review payments collected today and make end-of-day reconciliation faster and easier, simply select the Today’s Payments quick filter.
To locate all patient payments with Credit selected as the Payment Method for reconciliation or follow-up, click the Patient Credits quick filter.
Note: You can apply regular filters on top of the quick ones.
The dashboard also supports sorting by available columns, and pagination for navigating through payment records.
Collecting Patient Payments from the Dashboard View
You can add patient payments directly from the Patient Payments Dashboard, without needing to navigate to an individual patient’s Bill View first.
Note: The existing options for adding patient payments from other areas of the system remain available.
To add a patient payment from the dashboard:
- Open the Patient Payments Dashboard.
- Click + Transaction.
- Search for and select the patient by name.
- Enter the payment details.
- Save the transaction by clicking Collect Payment.
This provides a more streamlined way to manage patient payments from a centralized view and can be especially useful when working with multiple patients or reviewing daily payment activity.
