In this article, you will learn about our updates to:
- ICD-10 Codes
- HCPCS Codes for clinics dealing with ocular prostheses
- Increase visibility of Payor IDs
ICD-10 Codes Update
New ICD-10 codes, including commonly used Family Practice diagnosis codes can be selected and added to the procedure and chart notes when seeing a patient.
HCPCS Codes Update
If you sell ocular prostheses, we added some most utilized HCPCS codes to the system to streamline charting, enhance the accuracy of billing, and elevate the claim reimbursement rate.
Payor IDs Verification
To increase insurance company selection accuracy, Payor IDs are visible alongside insurance company names in the following modules:
- patient charts, including face sheets
- invoices with items to be charged to insurance
- Patient Portal when capturing insurance information
You can search payors in the relevant fields by entering either a Payor ID or an insurance company name. The search starts with 3 characters.
Remember to always Save insurance information. The corresponding Payor ID will display before the insurance company name even if it's a custom insurance company. All Payor IDs are unique as per the associated clearinghouse.
IMPORTANT: custom insurance companies added to the system do not provide for electronic claim submission or eligibility checks.
Patients can provide insurance details via the Patient Portal so that insurance details populate directly into the patient's chart.
1. When in the Patient Portal, select Insurance in the left-hand menu.
2. Click on Add Insurance green button.
3. Select an insurance company from the list.
When all required fields are filled in, remember to hit the Save button.
The insurance information will be saved in both:
- Patient Portal
- patient chart
