How to use Advanced Analytics' Patients Report for Mail Marketing Campaigns
Despite the prevalence of digital marketing, some businesses, including medical practices, have found value in direct mail campaigns for reaching specific demographics or targeting local areas effectively.
Remedly's Advanced Analytics Patients Report can be instrumental in pinpointing your target audience for mail marketing campaigns.
Here are some of the suggested options available in the Advanced Analytics Patients report to help you define your target audience:
- top patients generating the most revenue
- top patients who have visited your practice frequently
- patients with a specific number of days from the last purchase
- lost patients who haven't visited in 30, 60, or more days
- segments of patients based on the number of days since their last purchase
- top patients by the number of appointments
- patients with appointments below a specific threshold
- patients residing in specific locations (city, state)
To reach out to these patients by mail, street addresses have been incorporated into the Patients report alongside state, city, and zip code information. This comprehensive data can be accessed directly from the report.
To access your patients' mailing addresses directly from the report, follow these steps:
1. In the Patients report, find the Total Revenue by Patient on the dashboard, then click on the More options button and select Export data.
2. Select one of the 2 desired export options:
- Data with current layout
- Summarized data
3. Click the Export button.
The file will be uploaded to your device in .xlsx format.
If you select the first option in Step 2, you'll receive the data as a report in .xlsx format with Totals for Revenue and Number of Appointments calculated.
If you select the second option in Step 2, you'll receive a spreadsheet without totals but with filters already set up for each column. You can use this .xlsx file as a starting point to create pivot tables and manipulate the data as needed.
4. Define your target patient audience using Excel filters, sorters, pivot tables, and other Excel tools embedded within the software. Then, utilize their mailing addresses for your marketing efforts.

How to Set up Appointment Confirmation Request Text Messages
We've made two key enhancements to our standard appointment confirmation text communications:
1. Appointment Confirmation Request Text messages are now independent of Appointment Confirmation Emails. This is particularly significant for practices that only communicate with patients via text messages or for patient accounts with invalid emails or missing email addresses.
2. We've improved the scheduling of Appointment Confirmation Request Texts. If you've activated only Text as the Appointment Notification Type (disabling Email option), these messages will be sent to patients 2 days prior to their appointment.
These updates streamline the confirmation process and ensure timely and convenient communication with your patients.
If both Email and Text Appointment Notification Types are selected in Schedule Settings:
- Appointment Confirmation Request Text Message and Appointment Confirmation Email will be sent depending on a patient's contact preferences selected in their patient chart.
- Note: If a patient's email is in the list of Invalid Emails, this patient will not receive the Appointment Confirmation Request Email.
- Appointment Confirmation Request Text Message will be sent 2 days prior to appointment.
If only Text Appointment Notification Type is selected in Schedule Settings:
- Appointment Confirmation Request Text Message will be sent 2 days prior to the appointment.

Visibility of User ID on the User Accounts Page
User ID is a unique identifier automatically assigned to each user upon registration. We've added it to the User Accounts page primarily to enhance data import accuracy for new practices. However, existing practices can also leverage its benefits in their day-to-day operations.
