Remedly’s Online Follow-Ups functionality allows patients to share post-treatment feedback online with their provider instead of coming into the practice for a scheduled appointment. The patient can provide both written and visual feedback, allowing their provider to respond and schedule an onsite appointment only if necessary.

Step 1: Patient Submits Online Follow-Up in Patient Portal
- Patient logs into Patient Portal.
- Patient clicks “Online Follow-Ups” on the left-side menu.
- Patient views their past Follow-Ups and clicks “Submit Follow-Up”.
- Patient clicks Start Follow-Up.
- Patient answers questions about their post-procedure feelings.
- Patient leaves any optional comments.
- Patient can Upload Photos of the area of concern.
- Patient can upload up to 6 photos of the area where they received treatment.
- Patient submits the Initial Follow-Up and receives email confirmation that the practice has received their request.
Step 2: Provider reviews Patient’s Follow-Up
- Provider will now notice an Online Follow-Up notification in their Dashboard.
- Provider clicks ‘Review’ to open the Patient Follow-Up.
- Provider reviews the photos and the responses from the patient.
- Provider can choose a template using Online Follow-up Templates to auto-populate a response to the patient (if applicable) and indicate whether they want the patient to schedule an office visit or to submit an additional online Follow-Up. The provider can also notify a staff member that the patient will schedule an office visit.
Note: use the Manage Brochures feature to upload documents to share with the patient from the Optional Brochure selection option.
If a provider asks a patient to visit the office, a staff member can be selected to schedule the visit. Additionally, the provider can leave a note. The staff member will receive a dashboard notification.
5. Once the provider submits their input, the patient receives an email advising them to check their Patient Portal for their provider's Follow-Up response.
Step 3: Patient reviews Provider’s Follow-Up response
- Patient logs into Patient Portal and receives notification of completed Follow-Up.
- Patient clicks ‘View’.
- Patient can view the provider’s response, and if applicable, schedule a Follow-Up appointment.
Online Follow-up Templates
You can create online follow-up templates that later can be used during creating a follow-up response. In order to create a follow-up template go to Main Menu -> Practice Account-> Online Follow-up Templates.
Choose Create a New Patient Follow-up Template.
Add the information to the template. First of all, choose the procedure that will be associated with the template, add the template name and fill in other fields.
When you are ready with tailoring the template for your needs, click Save.
Once the template is saved, you'll be able to choose it while working on the follow-up responce.
To edit an existing follow-up template, in Post Procedure Follow-up Templates choose Edit Existing Follow-up Templates.
Select the template you want to edit.
Edit the template and click Save.
If you want to delete the template, choose Delete Template when you are in the Edit Mode.
