Customizable Self-Scheduling Time Period
When configuring the self-scheduling module, you can identify how far in advance a patient may be able to schedule their appointment. The configurations allow customization for any time period between 1 day to 1 year and are set per provider.
Go to Practice Account -> Self Schedule -> Location Settings Tab -> select a provider from the drop-down -> click Edit near the necessary location.
In the pop-up window select the period for how far in advance a patient can self-schedule for this provider, between 1 day to 1 year.
Save the changes by clicking OK.
While self-scheduling, the patient will be able to navigate the calendar through the time period provided for this provider.
Improved Logic of New Patient Report
To analyze the effectiveness of marketing efforts as well as understand changes in your patient demographics, the new patient report will deliver this data by identifying all patients added to the database within the time period identified.
Go to the Main Menu -> Reports -> Patient categories.
In Step 1 select the desired time period for when patients were added to the database. And in Step 2 choose New patients.
Click Create report.
The report will identify all patients added to the database during the time period provided, regardless of whether or not the patient has since been scheduled for an appointment.
Pausing a Subscription
When creating a subscription, you are required to input the patient's credit card details. However there may for various reasons why you need to temporarily stop the subscription charges and you don't want to lose their credit card details in the process.
Using the pause feature allows you to temporarily stop the automated subscription charges without losing the patient's credit card details. When appropriate, you can resume the subscription charges as well.
A subscription can be paused if it has one of the following statuses:
- active;
- pending payment;
- interrupted.
To pause the subscription go to Financial -> Subscriptions.
Find the subscription you want to pause and click the arrow and select Pause.
The status will be changes to Paused.
In order to reactivate the subscription again, click the arrow again and select Resume.
The status will be changed back to Active again.
Note: a payment will be made on the day that the subscription is unpaused (unless payment for that pay period has already been collected) and will continue to be collected on that same day of the month based on the original payment schedule for billing frequency (1 month, 2 months, 1 year, etc.)
Access Patient History while Messaging
While writing a message to a patient, you might want to access patient history in order to verify some information. To do so, patient history can be opened in a separate tab by clicking on the patient history card icon within the messaging window.
Once you search and select a patient as your message recipient, a patient history card icon will appear. Click it to navigate to that patient's history.
The patient history card icon is also available when replying to a message from a patient.
