EHR 2.0 allows your staff to order lab tests, receive results, and print lab test orders from within the patient chart, thanks to our integration with eLabs partner LabSoft.

How to Activate eLabs
eLabs can be activated at any time for your practice and additional fees apply. Reach out to your Customer Success Manager or support@remedly.com to learn more or start the registration process.
Checking Lab Tests and Images List
Patient lab test results and images can be reviewed from both:
- the patient chart
- the encounter note
Patient Chart
To review lab test results and images in the patients chart, go to Patients and select the preferred patient.
In the Patient Chart, open the Lab Tests and Images tab. You will see the list of patient's lab test results and their status (either Ordered or Received) as well as corresponding images.
Encounter
Lab test results can also be accessed from encounter notes. From within the encounter note, navigate to the Lab Tests and Images tab within Patient's Medical Summary to view the lab test status and results.
Requirements For LabSoft System
To order lab tests and gain access to LabSoft, several requirements must be met:
1. Patient address must be completed
If the patient chart does not include an address, you will receive an error message when trying to place the order.
To add the patient's address, go to patient Details and fill in the state, city, street and zip code fields.
2. Insurance information must be completed in patient's chart if insurance will be billed
If charges for lab tests will be submitted as part of an insurance claim, then insurance details must be completed in the insurances tab of the patient chart.
The required fields for eLabs in the Insurances section are:
- Insurance Company
- Insured's ID Number
- Insurance Type
- Group Number
- Relationship to Insured
If the fields are empty, you'll get an error message while trying to access LabSoft. The system will ask you to complete the fileds with the information.
The insurance details will be provided to LabSoft system when ordering a lab test.
- If the insurance is added to the patient charts, LabSoft will mark the insurance company as responsible for any lab test charges.
- If the patient chart does not include insurance details, LabSoft will mark the patient as responsible for any lab test charges.
3. Financially Responsible Person (FRP) must be completed in patient's chart if another person will be billed
If the patient is financially dependent on another person, such as a spouse, for billing purposes, information regarding the Financially Responsible Person must be completed in the patient chart.
Click +Add Person.
Input the following information in the corresponding fields:
1. Relationship
2. First name
3. Last name
4. Address
5. State
6. City
7. Zip
8. Phone number (optional)
9. Email (optional)
When you are ready, click Save.
Note: If a Financially Responsible Person is not inputted, the patient is considered financially responsible for themselves.
How to Order a Lab Test
A lab order request can be initiated either from the the patient chart or from the encounter note.
In order to request a lab test, click Add Order.
LabSoft system will open in a pop-up window.
To create an order, click Place Order.
When your order is placed, click Finish to quit the LabSoft pop-up window.
How to Check the Lab Test Status
The status of a lab test can be verified in the Lab Tests and Images tab in both:
- the patient chart
- the encounter note
Open the Lab Tests and Images tab and review the Status column.
How to View the Lab Test Results
If the status of the lab test is Received, you can review the results by clicking the View Results button.
The results will open in a new tab and can be printed using the Print Report button if needed.
