The information on the TO side take precedence over the ‘FROM’ side and you want the name, DOB, contact information, and address to be accurate. If you need to retain the email, cell, work/home phone, or birthdate in the FROM column, you can copy and paste it into the input field in the TO column before merging the patient accounts.
You can flip the arrow by simply clicking on the arrow to swap the TO and FROM columns.
Before you can merge the two patients, you will see a confirmation box pop up asking you to confirm that the info on the TO column is correct and take a moment to ensure that all of the information is accurate.
After you confirm that the information is correct in the TO column, you will see one final notification that the Patient was merged successfully.
Now that the patient merge was successful, refresh your webpage and your search will only find one patient account retained.
