Appointment statuses
Appointment statuses help you understand which stage of progress the appointment is in.
Appointment statuses include the following:

Scheduled
The Scheduled status is set by default when an appointment is created. It means that the appointment was scheduled but not yet confirmed by the patient.
Note: If an appointment is created with the status of scheduled and the patient has confirmed their email address per their profile, the patient will receive an email with the request to confirm their appointment.
Scheduled appointments can be managed via the appointment window using the following status adjustment options:- Confirm Appointment
- Cancel
- Check-in
- No Show
- Confirm Appointment

Confirmed
The Confirmed status means that the appointment was confirmed by either staff or the patient.
To see the details you can check the Audit Log in the appointment window (More Actions -> Audit Log).
The status of Confirmed appointments can be managed via the appointment window using the following adjustment options:- Check-in
- Cancel
- Undo Confirm
- No Show

Checked in
The Checked in status needs to be manually applied to the appointment by staff when the patient arrives at the practice for their appointment. This status indicates to all staff that the patient is onsite.
A Checked in appointment can be managed via the appointment window using the following adjustment options:
- Check-out
- Undo Check-in
IMPORTANT: The following options are available in all appointment statuses:

- Start New Encounter
- Add Bill
- Add Rendered Service

Cancelled
The Cancelled status is used to show that the appointment was terminated either by staff or by the patient.

Checked out
The Checked out status needs to be manually applied to the appointment by staff when the patient has received their services and is leaving the practice. This status indicates to all staff that the patient is no longer at the practice. -
No Show
The No Show status needs to be manually applied to the appointment by staff when the patient fails to arrive for their appointment.
You can visually differentiate the appointment statuses by their color-coding.

Below is an example of how the calendar will display with appointments.
Using filters, you can locate all appointments with the same status(es) in the appointments list.
Note: Appointments can not be deleted.
