How to Manage Before and After Photos – Remedly Help Center

Regardless of discipline, before and after photos are a time-tested method of displaying and understanding changes. In the Remedly platform, we make it easy for you and your staff to see the work you have done and the positive changes that your patients have requested.

How to take Before and After photos (Desktop):

Navigate to the patient whose pictures you want in the system
Scroll down to Before and After Photos
Select one box, depending on whether you are looking to add a before or after photo
Note: only JPG and PNG files can be uploaded.
Select the desired photo from your desktop to upload
Use the tools to make some changes to the photo

- zoom the photo in
- zoom the photo out
- select a view area to have a closer look
- get back to the original size of the photo
- move image
- rotate the image by 90 degree
- rotate image to the left
-rotate image to the right
you can indicate which treatment the image was taken for as well as any tags you would like to use to batch find all similar photos. This information is valuable when sharing Before and After photos anonymously with other patients interested in this treatment.

Note: to display only photos for which you have received patient consent to share publicly, add a tag such as “public” to filter only public photos for sharing.
Additionally, you can choose the date of the photo.
When you are ready, click OK.
The photo will appear in the Before or After section.

If you want to change any parameters of the photo after the upload, click on the date under the photo and the system will take you to the Edit mode.

How to take Before and After photos (Mobile/Tablet):

Follow steps 1-3 from the previous section
After selecting the Before or After section for uploading your image, your interface options will change to allow for either photo uploading or photo taking using the built-in camera feature.
This allows you to take a live picture and upload it directly to the Remedly platform. If you use this camera feature to take the photo, the image will only reside within Remedly and will not reside on your mobile device.
You have the option to share your photos with your patient via the Patient Portal by simply selecting Yes on the bottom of the pop-up.

Sharing Before and After photos using the Dashboard:

Using your dashboard to share Before and After photos allows you to review photos with the subject as well as share treatment photos anonymously with prospective patients.

From your dashboard you can search for all photos related to a specific treatment
Within the pop-up window, you can further target your search using patient name, date, or tag parameters.

4. Once you’ve identified your preferred Before and After photos, use the Full Screen feature to share the photos in a side-by-side format with viewing tools. The viewing tools allow you to apply grids, zoom in/out, rotate, and overlay your photos.The tools include the following:
- ghost image to see the changes better. This tool will overlay after photo on before photo.
