In Remedly there are several patient categories that can be marked with special badges.

When a patient is added to Remedly, they receive a New Patient badge.
This badge is seen in several places:
- in the individual patient history
- in the appointment window while scheduling the appointment
- in the appointment tile in the calendar when the first appointment is scheduled
- In the search patient field
The "New patient" status is cleared when the patient has the first appointment at your practice.
The badge will disappear If the appointment has passed and has the following statuses:
- Scheduled
- Confirmed
- Message left
- Rescheduled
The badge won't disappear If the appointment has passed, but it has following statuses:
- Cancelled
- Waitlisted
- No show
- Reserved (not confirmed).
Once the "New Patient" badge is removed, the patient will have "No category" and will have no special status.
Another way to remove the badge is to manually change the status of the patient.
Remedly provides you with 5 patient statuses:
- No category
- VIP patient
- Good patient
- Patient issue
- Inactive patient
You can change the status in the individual patient history by following the steps:
1. go to the individual patient history of a patient
2. click Edit Patient information icon
In Select Status section check the status you need.
