How to Collect Payments from within the Appointment
When creating a patient appointment, you can initiate partial or full payment for the appointment from within the appointment. A notification provides a shortcut to collect patient payment using the following steps:
- In the appointment window click Collect patient payment upfront.
- Enter the required information and hit Collect Payment. In the description you can add ‘Copay’ or any other relevant descriptors for accounting purposes.
- Click Collect Payment to open the billing ledger and see the status of your payment.
How to Share Patient Encounter with Patients via Email
In order to share the patient encounter with your patient, this capability is available after the encounter has been signed via the following steps:
- Click More Actions and select Send Encounter to patient.
- The patient will receive an email with the button Go to document to view the shared encounter.
- When the patient follows the button or the link, they will access a security page first. They will need to verify their identity before proceeding.
- After entering the security code for successful verification, the patient will be able to view and print the encounter.
How to View Forms in the Patient Chart
In order to verify the status of the patient forms for completion, the status of all forms is available in the Patient Chart under Forms.
To view a patient's forms, follow these steps:
- Find the required patient and go to the Patient Chart -> Forms.
- Find the desired form in the list and click on it to open the form.
Note: this interface will not allow patients to sign forms which can only be initiated from the appointment.
