- Provider availability visibility on the create appointment page
How Can You Improve Your Overall Appointment Readiness?
If you’re not yet familiar with the Appointment Readiness Dashboard or haven’t started using it, learn more about it in our previous release notes.
Primary Insurance Details and Warnings
The Appointment Readiness Dashboard now displays Primary Insurance information and highlights potential insurance issues that may require attention before the appointment.
These warnings help practice staff identify and resolve insurance configuration issues early, reducing preventable claim rejections, billing errors, and administrative rework.
The dashboard displays the following warnings when applicable:
- Multiple Primary Insurance Policies: Alerts staff when a patient has more than one primary insurance policy configured in RCM.
- No Primary Insurance Available for the Appointment Date: Indicates that no primary insurance is configured or that no policy has a coverage period that includes the appointment date.
- Unknown Primary Insurance Coverage Period: Highlights a missing coverage start date or end date that prevents staff from verifying coverage for the appointment date.
These warnings help staff prioritize follow-up, verify insurance details, and clarify billing arrangements with patients when needed. They indicate potential data or configuration issues and do not necessarily mean that the patient is uninsured or ineligible for coverage.
Go Directly to RCM Insurance Policies of a Specific Patient
You can now navigate directly to a specific patient’s Insurance Policies page in RCM from the Appointment Readiness Dashboard using the three-dot menu and the Go to Insurance Policy option at the end of each appointment entry.
The page opens in a new browser tab, making it easier to review and update insurance details without losing your place on the dashboard.
Sort Appointments by Patient Owes and Patient Credit
The Patient Owes and Patient Credit columns on the Appointment Readiness Dashboard are now sortable. This helps you quickly identify patients with the highest outstanding balances or available credits and prioritize payment follow-ups and credit application.
New eFax Capabilities and Workflow Improvements
If you’re new to eFax or would like a refresher on how to send, receive, and manage faxes in Remedly, check out our eFax User Guide.
eFax can be activated at any time for your practice (additional fees apply). Reach out to your Customer Success Manager or support@remedly.com to learn more or start the enrollment process.
Have More Control Over Your eFaxes with Completely New Statuses
The eFax workflow now uses Needs Action and Completed statuses instead of Unread and Read, helping you track outstanding work.
- Manual Status Control: Opening or reviewing a fax, adding or removing notes, or assigning it to a patient’s chart no longer automatically changes its status. You can mark a fax as Completed whenever all necessary actions are finished or return it to Needs Action if further follow-up is required.
- Consistent Fax Tracking: You can change the status of both assigned and unassigned faxes at any time, without affecting their association with the patient’s chart.
These improvements make it easier to track pending medical record requests, authorizations, and other time-sensitive documents, reducing unnecessary searching and the risk of missed follow-ups.
Add a Subject to Outgoing eFaxes
You can now add a Subject when sending an eFax from any supported entry point, including the Fax page, Patient Chart > Attachments, and Encounter faxing.
Adding a subject helps recipients quickly understand the purpose of your fax, making it easier to identify and process incoming documents. Simply enter the subject in the Send by Fax form, and it will appear in the Regarding field of the facsimile cover letter generated by Concord, allowing recipients to see it when they receive the fax.
IMPORTANT: The maximum field length is 128 characters.
For easier reference, the subject of an outgoing eFax is now displayed in the fax history:
-
Fax Page: The Subject appears in a separate column next to Referring To on the Sent tab.
-
Patient Chart: The Subject appears in a separate column next to Type in the Fax section.
This makes it easier to identify sent faxes and understand their purpose without opening each fax individually.
User Permissions for 'Skip Patient Notification'
The Skip Patient Notification functionality is now controlled by user permissions. Practice administrators can determine which users are allowed to enable the Skip Patient Notification toggle for appointment-related events.
Users who do not have the required permissions will see a notification in the relevant pop-up window. While this error message is displayed, they will not be able to confirm the event or save their changes.
IMPORTANT: To request access please contact your practice administrator and ask them to submit a ticket to our Support Team (support@remedly.com) to grant the required permissions.
Note: As part of this enhancement, the following pop-ups have been renamed:
- Appointment Notifications → Appointment Creation Confirmation
- Appointment Notifications → Appointment Acceptance Confirmation
Provider Availability Indicators When Creating Appointments
The Start Time field on the Create Appointment page now displays provider availability indicators, consistent with those available when rescheduling an appointment. This helps you assess provider availability at a glance and choose an appropriate appointment time more efficiently.
Click on the Start Time field.
Select from the Available options.
