How to Transmit Claim Attachments Directly from RCM
Manage Claim Attachments
We’re excited to announce that you can now include and transmit supporting documents with your claims directly from Remedly RCM. Additional fees will apply per attachment, depending on your clearinghouse.
To facilitate this, we've added a dedicated Attachments section to the Claim Details page.
IMPORTANT: The outdated Encounter Details section is excluded from the Claim view. You can still use it on the Bill page, if you wish.
Files can be uploaded only when the claim is in Edit mode, meaning its status is Not Submitted or Not ReSubmitted, consistent with how the other sections on the Claim Details page work.
To upload an attachment:
- Click Edit Claim in the top-right corner of the Claim Details page.
- Scroll down to the Attachments section.
- Click + Files at the top of the section.
-
A pop-up window will appear. Click Select file to choose the document from your computer.
Note:
- The only accepted file format is PDF.
- The maximum attachment size is 10 MB.
5. After selecting the file, you must choose an Attachment Type from the single-select field above the attachment selector. This field is required and corresponds to the attachment type classifications supported by your clearinghouse, Claim.MD/TriZetto.
Select the appropriate Attachment Type, for example, Medical Record Attachment (M1) - and click Save.
Once saved, the attachment will appear in a grid within the Attachments section, along with its attachment type. As long as the claim remains in Not Submitted or Not ReSubmitted status, you can:
- delete the attachment or
- upload additional files.
Note: Attachment Types include not only clinical documentation but also Explanation of Benefits (EOB). This can be useful when billing a secondary payor - you can upload the EOB from the primary payor as an attachment to the secondary claim.
Attachment Submission History and How to Avoid Unnecessary File Resubmissions
The Claim Snapshot does not currently display attachment submission history. However, you can view the attachments associated with a claim by opening the claim's Claim Details page, as long as the attachments have not been deleted.
Please note that attachments remain on the claim when the claim is resubmitted. Because attachments can be removed while the claim is editable, if you do not want an existing attachment to be transmitted again with a resubmission, make sure to remove it from the claim before resubmitting.
Behind the scenes, we will retain the history of uploaded and removed attachments. We plan to provide an option to view this history directly in the system in a future update.
How to Use Quick Filters on the Patient Payments Dashboard

Note: You can apply regular filters on top of the quick ones.
How to Use Enhanced COB/Insurance Policies Dashboard
New quick filters, patient status, payor ID, and patient details make it easier to find and review insurance information.
Quick Filters
To locate all Active Policies, select the Active Policies quick filter.
To review insurance information for all Active Patients, select the Active Patients quick filter.
We also added Patient Status as a regular filter:
Payor ID Display
Payor ID is now displayed in the Insurance Company column instead of a separate column.
The same approach is implemented across all pages in the RCM.
Expanded Patient Details
The Patient column on the COB/Insurance Policies Dashboard now includes additional valuable details, such as the Patient Status and Patient ID.
