Type Appointment Time Directly When Scheduling
Scheduling and rescheduling appointments is now faster and more convenient. You can type the desired appointment time directly into the time field instead of scrolling through the available time slots.
To enter the time simply start typing the time you’re looking for. The system will display the most relevant matching times first, along with their AM/PM designation and availability, so you can quickly select the appropriate slot.
This makes it easier to jump directly to the time you need, especially when scheduling appointments later in the day or at less frequently used times.
Add Provider Credentials to Encounter and Form Signatures
Providers can now add their credentials and professional information to their electronic signatures used on encounter notes and forms, making it easier to clearly identify their qualifications for billing and documentation purposes.
To add credentials:
- Go to User > User Settings > Edit.
- Locate the new Signature Details field above Default Signature.
- Enter your provider's name and credentials in the same field, for example: Allison Smith, APRN, MSN, PMHNP-BC.
- Enter the Default Signature.
- Save your changes.
Your Signature Details will be automatically included in newly signed encounter notes and forms.
Note: Signature Details is not the required field. When the field remains blank, the signature will appear just with the provider name pulled up from the User Name.
IMPORTANT: If you add credentials, please make sure to include your provider name in the same Signature Details field. For example, enter Allison Smith, APRN, MSN, PMHNP-BC rather than just APRN, MSN, PMHNP-BC. When the Signature Details field contains certain values, the system does not pull the provider name from the User Name. Therefore, if you enter only your credentials, the provider name will not be displayed.
Existing signed documents will not be changed, so previously completed documentation remains as it was.
Add Patient Payments Directly from the Patient Payments Dashboard
You can now add patient payments directly from the Patient Payments Dashboard, without needing to navigate to an individual patient’s Bill View first.
Note: The existing options for adding patient payments from other areas of the system remain available.
To add a patient payment from the dashboard:
- Open the Patient Payments Dashboard.
- Click + Transaction.
- Search for and select the patient by name.
- Enter the payment details.
- Save the transaction by clicking Collect Payment.
This provides a more streamlined way to manage patient payments from a centralized view and can be especially useful when working with multiple patients or reviewing daily payment activity.
Zero-dollar Service Lines Now Supported on Claims
We’ve enhanced our claim management workflow to support $0.00 charges at the individual service-line level.
This update aligns our claim validation more closely with CMS guidance and industry billing standards, which allow a service line to have a $0.00 charge in certain scenarios - for example, when a service or item is provided at no charge but still needs to be reported on the claim.
You can now have a claim with a combination of payable and $0.00 service lines without receiving a validation error for the $0.00 line.
Note: The claim remains eligible for submission when the total claim charges are greater than $0.00. Claims with a total charge of $0.00 will continue to require correction before submission.
Bill Unit Cost Adjustments Are Now Preserved on Claims
We’ve also improved the connection between Bills and Claims to make sure Unit Cost adjustments made during billing carry over when a claim is created.
When a claim is created, it will now use the final Unit Cost from the Bill (NOT from the Fee Schedule), including any amount that was manually adjusted by users. This means you no longer need to re-enter Unit Cost adjustments on the Claim after making them on the Bill.
IMPORTANT: The existing Fee Schedule workflow on the Bill remains unchanged, and Unit Cost can still be edited directly on the Claim when needed.
Note: This also ensures that $0.00 Unit Costs entered on the Bill are carried over to the Claim automatically, supporting the new $0.00 service-line functionality.
