Copay details displayed in Patient chart and in Appointments
With one of the recent updates, we have implemented the option to document Copay, Coinsurance, and Deductible amounts in Patient's Insurance Policy settings.
With the latest enhancement, the Copay amount is now displayed in the corresponding column right in the Insurance tab in the Patient chart. In each Appointment, you'll also see new useful reminders related to Copay.
1. If the patient has insurance policies on file with specified Copay amounts in the policy settings, you will see the Copay details in the Insurance tab in the Patient chart.
Note: N/As will appear for policies where the Copay amount has not been documented in the settings.
2. In the notification panel in the patient's Appointments, you'll also see the Copay amount for the Primary Insurance, and a reminder to collect patient payment upfront:
3. If no Copay is specified in the Primary Insurance settings, you'll receive a notification to check insurance and copay details in order to collect the required patient payment upfront.
Note: If the patient's Primary Insurance on file has expired, or the appointment is scheduled beyond the coverage end date, you'll see the same kind of warning to check insurance and copay. The specific Copay amount won't be displayed, even if it's specified in the expired insurance policy settings.
IDs have been added to Remittances
For easier navigation, ID property has been added to Remittances. Now, you can see the Remittance ID column in the Remittance Dashboard, and sort or search by the ID:
The Remittance ID is displayed in the summary section of each Remittance as well:
Anchored Add Claims button for convenient Remittance navigation
At times, you might need to link some claims manually to an ERA or an EOB. Previously, the Add Claim button was only available at the top right corner in the Remittance Summary tab:
With the latest enhancement, the button also remains anchored to the bottom right corner while scrolling through an ERA/EOB. This allows you to add a claim at any point without the need to navigate back to the top of the page.
Improved ERA Preview generation in Remittances
Generating an ERA preview may take some time, especially when it involves numerous claims linked to it. To streamline the process, we've introduced a feature that allows you to generate the ERA preview file once, and access it instantly whenever needed. Additionally, we've incorporated status indicators to keep you informed about the generation progress.
1. To generate an ERA preview, open any existing Remittance, and under More Actions, select ERA Preview:
2. If the file isn't immediately available, you'll see a status message indicating that the file generation is in progress. In the same view, you'll see the option to Cancel the generation task if needed.
3. The ERA Preview will automatically load in the same tab once ready:
4. After the ERA preview has been generated once, it will always load instantly as you click on the ERA Preview under More Actions.
The generated PDF file will also be saved to the Attachments tab:
5. Detailed information about the ERA generation task(s) can be found in the Operation Log. You can review the list of tasks, their statuses, operation results, and status messages.
You also have the option to retrieve the generated ERA preview files directly within each task.
For reference, below is the list of Operation statuses for ERA generation, and their meaning:
- Scheduled means that the ERA preview file is queued for generation,
- Processing means that the file generation is currently in progress,
- Cancelling status indicates that task cancellation request is being processed,
- Canceled means that file generation has been canceled successfully, and no file will be generated. If needed, you can initiate file generation anew,
- Failed status indicates that an error occurred during file generation. You can try generating the file anew, or contact support@remedly.com.
