Dial the patient right from the Appointment (Phone Call mode)
With the recent update, we added the ability to initiate phone calls directly from patient appointments in Phone Call mode. This enhancement simplifies your workflow by eliminating the need to manually copy or input the phone numbers elsewhere. Now, with just a click, you can conveniently dial patients from your PC using your preferred phone app.
1. Open the appointment in the Phone Call mode:
2. You'll see a clickable phone number (tel link):
3. As you click on the phone number, you'll see a wizard suggesting you to pick an app for dialing the number (if you don't have a default app set up yet). Depending on the OS and browser you're using, the wizard may look slightly different.
Please note:
Pop-ups have to be allowed in your browser for the wizard to show up. For reference, check out a brief article on managing this setting in Chrome across all devices.
4. Once you select your preferred app from the list or by browsing your PC/store, you can choose whether you'd like to use it Once or Always (set as default for dialing phone numbers).
5. Then, you can use the selected app as you would normally do.
If you happen to schedule a Phone Call appointment for a patient who does not have a phone number specified in their profile, you'll see N/A for the phone number as you open the appointment, and a corresponding error in the right-hand notification panel.
Click on the patient details link to jump to the patient's profile on-the-go and add it. Once you do, the phone number will show up in the appointment, and you'll be able to dial it.
Set up an Appointment Reminder email to be sent to patient 24 hours before the visit
Remedly has introduced a new helpful email notification designed to remind patients of their upcoming appointments 24 hours in advance.
This notification not only delivers a timely reminder but also includes all essential appointment information (for virtual appointments, the email conveniently provides the link to the virtual room).
Request the appointment reminder to be set up for your practice
Appointment reminder emails come as optional, and are not enabled by default.
If you'd like this kind of reminder to be set up for your practice, reach out to your Customer Success Manager or shoot us an email at support@remedly.com — we'll set things up for you in no time!
