In this article, you will learn about our updates to:
- Enable sending patient statements via email
- Improve the process for deleting charges associated with a claim
- Bill using MPI instead of NPI
Sending Patient Statements via Email
The patient statement can be sent via email to the patient. The email includes a secure link which opens the statement as a PDF.
Once the email is sent, Last Issued Date is updated based on the date of email and Delivery Method is updated to Electronically.
Note: Patients may encounter difficulty accessing their patient statement for the following reasons:
1. If the patient account does not have an email address identified, the user will receive the following error message. To address, please add an email address for the patient in the patient data.
2. For security purposes, the patient statement cannot be viewed by the patient until the patient confirms their email address. Clicking on the patient statement link will prompt the patient to verify a security code sent to their email before successfully accessing the PDF.
Deleting Charges Associated with a Claim
Bill Using MPI instead of NPI
If your practice is approved with the HCBS Waiver Program, your practice will bill to some insurance companies using MPI (Medicaid Provider ID) instead of NPI (National Provider Identifier).
The MPI number can be added while creating the claim.
Once MPI has been inputted, the electronic claims and CMS1500 forms will be automatically generated according to the requirements of the insurance company.
